Congressionally Mandated

Since 2005, Congress mandates the Intelligence Community (IC) invest in diversifying the next generation of intelligence professionals in the 18 intelligence agencies based on evidence that adiverse workforce produces better results.

Build Your Skills

The IC CAE program at UNM builds the academic and professional skills to secure positions in any of the 18 IC agencies, through different academic pathway programs (nationalsecurity/intelligence studies, foreign language, or STEM), plus many opportunities to develop through funded student research, travel to DC, study abroad, scholarships, an annual symposium, networking opportunities,recruitment events, and much more.

Earning IC CAE status through competitive selection signifies that UNM has exceeded the standards for a rigorous and sustainable academic program in national security knowledge and skills development.
